FACULTY POSITION IN SPANISH
Position
Tenure-track position in the Spanish Department starting August 16, 2009.
Qualifications
Ph.D. preferred, with expertise in Spanish language and literature. Experience in teaching and scholarship desired. Trinity seeks candidates who are professing Christians committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service. Prospective faculty members should support the goals of a strong liberal arts education in the tradition of Reformed Christian higher education and should be competent to demonstrate to students a mature articulation of faith and learning. They should also be committed to being involved with students in contexts beyond the classroom.
Responsibilities
A primary responsibility will be teaching courses in Spanish language and upper-level literature courses, preferably Hispano-American. The department also collaborates with the Semester in Spain program in Seville. Options may exist for other areas of expertise.
Compensation
Rank and salary commensurate with experience. Benefits include health insurance, pension, life insurance, and disability insurance.

Trinity Christian College is a four-year liberal arts college located in Palos Heights, Illinois, a suburb twenty miles southwest of Chicago. Since its founding in 1959, Trinity has provided its students with an excellent Christian higher education in the Reformed tradition.
